four years since...

omg my last entry was june 2005! that was when i was still in NUS second year pharmacy. this showed how busy i was. :P

too shagged to do any artwork in this while. in fact, i had just completed my pre-registration training to become a pharmacist! so now i have became a full-fledged pharmacist. so many things happening these days i hardly had time to sit down and slowly enjoy the process of designing and making artwork.  hopefully as i settle into my new role, i would be able to find time for more beautiful things.

so stay tuned! :)

i am currently doing a new drawing. can't believe i am actually picking up my pencils again? :writersblock: hehe... well i do get inspiration sometimes but rarely nowadays. been quite busy with many stuff like camp, job-finding etc. in the hols. i found a waitressing job so i will soon be elevated from this :meditation: to :worker: serving this :hungry:. yupe.
actually i'd like this :buymyprints: but not enough :money: so can only this :blahblah: haha :shrug:

it's been some time since i last updated my journal cos i have been busy with a billion stuff before the hols and yes it's school hols for me now at last :). going to find a job soon, to earn some $$.

can't be promised

when i have to choose bet doing art and sch i have to choose sch first. and i am too preoccupied wif sch stuff to have any inspiration for art. no breakthru for my fractals. stagnent in my progress for drawing. suddenly i wish i had more leisure time, time when i am not stress abt sch work and when i can let my imagination run wild without a care and doodle something. i am starting to feel more and more detached from my arts. i don't like this feeling. i just can't bring myself to draw anything now, i will probably be wasting paper and time if i do. cos i know whatever that i draw is not of my interest, it's only a forced piece of work - like all my other homework now. my friend... pls be patient with me.

me and my impatience

it is indubitable that artists are perfectionists. i don't claim myself to be a real artist but probably an amateur but i do seek perfection in my arts as far as i can. the problem is i am always too anxious to get the final product that i tend to rush things and end up getting something far from perfection even if you may say that nothing in this world can be perfect. i can gauge my calibre and know where i stand. my arts do pale in comparison to those of many great artists out there. no, i am not despondent. when i come across a magnificent piece of art, i marvel at its perfection and felt inspired, inspired to do something just as amazing. i just lack a little more patience. i get frustrated at how some things don't turn out the way i want them to be and then i screw things up. well, well... a 7 hour piece of art to me now is still... madness. ^^;
i shall now go and cg one of my new drawing and hopefully it will be something different this time.

a lil update

I have joined a few more clubs, primely inuyasha fanclub, can't find fruit basket one. found a few more new artists to stalk too. do check out my recent favs, especially *mree 's work. ~giovannag got some kick-butt inuyasha fanwork, do check them out if you are a fan. and of course do comment on my pixelart, i need to know if there's any area that need improving on. btw i did it in Paint pixel by pixel and edit a bit in adobe ps cos paint can't do vertical font.
that's abt all! :D

after all my trials of tests... there comes the BIG FAT final exam! *pull hairs* but... before i start mugging for it, here i am slacking again and i am UPDATING my stuff. :nod:  sounds like i am trying to revive my deviantart. :nod:  
Thanx again for my fellow deviants' comments. They are much valued. I will be clearing away some of my not so up-to-standard art and hopefully there's improvement in my newer pieces.

i finally realise how to add prints to wishlist but it sure is a troublesome process and i don't think any kind souls or rich souls out there will bother with my wishlist. anyway, don't bother.
i figured maybe someday i will go get a tablet. maybe i will dream myself into thinking that one day i can do some butt-rocking realism piece. haha... hmm... if only i have more time and less work to do. i am afterall not a professional artist / designer, art is just my hobby. but i won't forgo this possibilty, if i really really really get sick of science.

since my entry into NUS i have been busy day in and day out. dun belittle 5 modules a sem, it's more than wat u think. sat still gotta go back for anatomy class and lab. plus dance pratices for the bash which ended yesterday night, i was pretty much drained this week. there's seriously not a tinge of inspiration that i can squeeze out for art. so now u see why singaporeans tend to be less artistic. not that we dun have the talent, it's more like there isn't the time to do so practically. i am giving tuition too btw, so i must prioritise my time. first study, second earn $$, third recreation (mostly tv and surfing) then hobby. sad life i know.. wat to do. well... hope u reader of this entry is having a better time out there. tata.

cauliflower art

i realised that cauliflower is a natural fractal art in 3D... ooh... O.o amazing form of nature.
i have been doing little drawing lately, not realli in the mood to do some nice drawing. someday i should attempt painting. i am still in love with fractals. so simple yet so complex. or some of you might put it the other way round.
i need to try more different fractal styles. it's easy to get stuck to one style.

Woohoo!
Rock-breaking news: i passed my A level with 3 As and a B for GP. yay... it is the best result that i have ever gotten in my 14 yrs of formal education. and for the first time, never before in my 2 yrs in VJ, have i seen As for my A-level subjects.

Good news: After much crawling, my deviantart pageview has FINALLY broken the minute 500 mark. I know as compared to others this is merely an insignificant value, but to me this is a small breakthrough to what my art may become in the future. i feel appreciated.
